+devHead Subscriber² Posted September 19, 2014 Subscriber² Share Posted September 19, 2014 Oh I almost forgot, I just bought a 2007 Ford Focus wagon off Craigslist for $2,500. The car has 2 new tires, and they just replaced the cracked windshield the day I picked it up. Runs great! My wife is very happy to have her own car now. But I guess everything is relative I know; I wouldn't buy a new Ford, but the business selling it was just trying to get rid of it, and wasn't interested in recouping its money. So far, it runs great. Frankly, she'll maybe be putting 200 miles a month on it, running errands, shopping, etc. So it works great. Don't feel sorry until it dies! Open Minded
I just got a Q8200 Gateway desktop with LCD monitor for 60 bucks. I figured why spend 40 dollars on 4 gigs of DDR3 when I could have a whole setup for 20 bucks more? I'm letting my friend use it to watch videos as long as he runs BOINC for me. :-) T3X4S and +devHead 2 Share

Mando
ive stopped trawling from such sites for kit, my biggest win was years ago, was at college at the time (so talking 16yr ago) Wandering round the latest "smack converters" (Cash converters to the non UK types, think second hand/pawn shop). Now bare in mind this was just as Win 98Se was being superceded with Win Me. im walking round and see an Acer Travelmate playing a video, hold on thats a DVD its playing (what new fangled tomfoolery is this!!).....ooooh, Pentium 600mhzish, DVD drive/15" display ere mate how much for this old laptop? £500 mate! SOLD! Got it home and checked with Acer, thing was 2 months old (retailing at £1500) and hadnt been registered with Acer....oh goody, bam! Registered as "new" with me as a customer..... that old travelmate got me right through college and lay around for a couple more years, before i sold it for £
