I just saw this and I think it was pretty damn poor, very predictable and cliched. All the kids apart from the lead were painfully annoying.

I really didn't expect it to be this bad.

I thought all the young actors played their parts very well.... Just because I may not have LIKED one or two of them, doesn't mean they acted poorly... I think they acted great for the parts they played. I wasn't a fan of the dorky Martin, or the chubby Charles, but the two actors portrayed those characters quite well. As for Cary, Joe, and Alice and their respective actors, well played.

Goonies meets ET/Cloverfield for me too. Generally enjoyable and the pacing is good, didn't care as much for the ending.
