Yup pretty nice gesture from Microsoft.

I somehow doubt we will see a similar one from them for Apple when their birthday comes along :D

It's just a user submitted video. What makes you think Microsoft made it?

LOL kinda funny reading you write this to people here at neowin, and you could of replied to someone Ohhh my mistake good find. Instead you take it and put it as a news article on your website O.o

zzzzz there is no money in FOSS. Ask yourself why Apple has never made any software to run on Linux.

Because Apple is narcissistic? The only reason they made iTunes work on windows was because of the big demand for it, Quicktime was a fall over from old days, and Safari was just a push to get people into more apple products and to run on the IE must die steam train

Microsoft's PR department is good - between this and sending Mozilla free cake during a new firefox launch. I wish some companies would make nice gestures (/cough Apple, you paying attention)?

And their point is?
So sum it up: "Linux has antisocial personality disorder (but it's okay, because we tolerate you)."

This is obviously a trolling message and clear standard front page material.

Although whatever Apple makes hardly means anything about whether money can be made on a platform or not, they actually did sell Shake for Linux up until when the product was finally discontinued for all platforms wink.gif

Other companies like Discreet, SideFX or Autodesk are still selling professional software for Linux.
