Hey Guys,

I renewed the league I was commissioner of last year, the information is as follows:

League Name: Neowin Fantasy Football 2011

The draft as of now is set for Sunday, September 4th @ 7:00pm EDT

I've played a few years on NFL.com leagues, but I've never played a PPR league (or yahoo NFL league, the NHL leagues aren't fun at all imo) so this is going to be interesting.

Hopefully the league fills up!

Looking forward to playing with fellow Neowinians!

Edit> 10 yds per 1 point for return yards. Did that work well last year? I've never seen a league do that. Puts a premium on D/ST's I guess lol

The other comment I have is I would recommend league commissioner veto for trades. The league votes takes too long and people have vested interests in nixing a trade.

Welcome in that case.

Those are the standard Yahoo settings, has always seemed to work out well. I agree with the trade veto's, I have changed it to commissioner decides ( but will take input from everyone in the league ). Also, I have pushed the "Final Trade Date" back to December 2nd, gives up more time to prep our teams for the playoffs. If anyone has any objections / ideas please let me know!

( I was also kinda tinkering with the idea of allowing pick for pick / player trades... anyone else like it? )

How do the waivers work in Yahoo fantasy? Is there a waiver order based on how the teams are placed from week to week?

What does "Weekly waivers - None" mean?

The waiver order will be determined by the draft order. If you have last pick, you will be #1 in the waiver order ( to start ) and so on and so forth. I've never done it differently, but open to a change if a majority of the league wants it.

No problem, good to be playing against you once again... let's bring back the glory days of this league! ;)

At worst we need another player ( which I know I can pull another person in ).. but let's try to get to 10 at least, would make things more interesting.

Thanks for the clarification.

I hope we can get at least 10 team owners in the league, I mean with people from all over the world on this site you'd think we should be able to get 12 owners.

Ok, we are at ( 8 ) players currently. The goal is ( 2 ) more. If anyone reading this thread is interested, please sign up asap so we can have an accurate count prior to draft day. Thanks.

I signed up, but if you don't get a 12th person you can kick me out.

I waited a bit because I was trying to get into other leagues, but they all fell through.

It's cool D!ABOL!C, welcome. We'll figure something out and get the 12th team in there if we are still short.
