Windows Live Messenger for Mac doesn't keep configuration after log out

Hi,

I'm an Adium user for a long time, but sometimes I need to use Windows Live Messenger for Mac and I have a problem thats kinda annoying. When I login, I set a display picture, personal message and other configuration settings, and when I logout, everything's gone. I need to set it up again.

I uninstalled the app, upgraded to Lion and did everything you can imagine. This ****ty software just doesn't keep my configuration settings.

Any thoughts?

At this point I can't say much about Messenger for Mac beyond it being a piece of ****.

You could try trashing all support files in ~/Library/Preferences and ~/Documents to give it a fresh start.

When you said you uninstalled the app, did that include all the associated preference and config files in ~/Library?

As .Neo said, I'd do that to make sure it isn't just some silly corrupted preference file getting in your way.
