I think the concept is really dumb. Unless they made it super cheap, which it isn't. You can get a laptop for that price and just install Google Chrome. :/

Agreed, if they want these to succeed they need to drop the price ASAP.

When I first heard about the Chromebook idea Google had a while back I thought it was awesome. I expected them to provide a cheap alternative to a Windows laptop but instead the price can be the same if not more than one that comes with Windows.

If the CR-48 is any indication (yes, I know it was a prototype) then they likely are not that fast either. I'm half-tempted to just sell my CR-48. :(
