Elliot B.
I want it back with the save-game data intact. How can I this? I haven't synced since I deleted the game from my phone, so it should be possible to upload it back from my iTunes backup, right?
Elliott
If you restore your backup from iTunes, it'll come back.
rajputwarrior
yeah you should be okay in theory... though sometimes when you delete a game it kills all the data associated with it. all you can do is try.
Elliot B.
If you restore your backup from iTunes, it'll come back. So when I plug it in (it won't auto-sync), what do I do? Do I sync? I have currently copied the IPA from the iTunes backup folder just in case it's lost.
Manish
So when I plug it in (it won't auto-sync), what do I do? Do I sync? In iTunes, right-click the device and select "Restore from backup".
Elliot B.
In iTunes, right-click the device and select "Restore from backup". No, because then I lose the data I've added into the apps since the last sync.
Manish
That's the method others were referring to. This is your best bet to get the saved game data back. However you could try the following (I'm not sure if it works): 1. Download iPhone Backup Extractor (http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com/) 2. Use the above program to extract your saved game data from your previous backup 3. Download iPhone Explorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) 4. Make sure that the game isn't running in the background, then navigate to Apps > the game you want to restore 5. Replace these files with the ones you extracted from your backup 6. Relaunch the game and see if you got lucky
