Service, still using MSN (Windows Live) the most for protocol, seconded by Google Talk.

Application, Pidgin for Windows, Adium for Mac, Trillian for Android.

lol I seem to be the only one using ICQ, the official client..I started to really dislike WLM, so went back to ICQ

Use Gtalk for work related stuff

I sometimes use the official client for ICQ . It's pretty good :)

I seem to be unable to decide whether I want to use ICQ + WLM in their own clients or in Miranda, keep going back and forth. New Trillian is nice too.

Did use XMPP on a very dodgially set-up private server but decided to play around with my own XMPP server now instead.

Also use WLM messenger 8.5, yes the 8.5 version they've disabled from connecting, rehacked so it still connects :)

How do you re-enabled 8.5? :)

I use only WLM. However I don't use the official client because to be frank they ruined it several versions ago. It has become incredibly bloated and just annoying to use their client. I use Miranda on Windows and Adium on OS X for WLM as a result.

All of the above. Skype, AIM, MSN, Facebook, Yahoo. Everyone I know has gotten used to using specific clients so I use Digsby so I can just run all of them. I prefer the look and feel of WLM but it doesn't support the other protocols.
