So, I am coming to the end of my washing powder box (a huge box I have had for more than a year) and thinking about what people use to wash their clothes.

I have used tablets, liquitabs and powder. I found the tabs and tablets easier where I was living before, but now powder has been my washing tool for the past few years.

For those who need it:

Liquitabs:

I use powder these days as it lasts longer, if you use a tab of some kind you can't really put in less if you are washing less clothes. With powder you can

Also powder just seems to be nicer than other things

I usually use a washing machine!!

Powders suck as the crap gets all conglobulated to your clothes unless you stand there and wait for the tub to get all filled before adding it. Tablets?! They still make those worthless things?!

Liquid is the ONLY way to go and I prefer either Tide or Era, depending which of those 2 are on sale.

See, I find powder to dissolve better. With the tablets, I would always find small powdery marks on the clothes when getting them out.

Liquitabs were great but as Teebor says, you can't regulate the use of them very well. A friend also told me when she put less clothes in, the plastic stuff the liquid is enclosed in doesn't dissolve very well and stuck to the clothes meaning an extra rinse.

I also imagine they don't wash all the clothes as evenly as powder would.

YES exactly the same problem I noticed on some of my black shirts, it looks terrible and I had to wash them again to get rid of the marks

As I do not do the laundry (my wife does) I am not certain of the brand however, generally we use the cheapest liquid detergent on the shelf at the time of purchase.

Oft times, dish soap.

It's seems to be more concentrated than laundry detergent, and I don't end up with some smelly fragrance on my clothes.
