Perfume ads featuring teen star Dakota Fanning banned

Some would argue that you need to be an adult to join the armed forces, and if 16 is the minimum age to do so, then 16 means adulthood.

And that's a subjective statement, not fact.

Show me in law where it states you have to be an adult to join the army.

That is why I said some would argue.

But you can't base your argument on people's views, when arguing against the legal adult age in Britain.

I'm failing to see the problem with the image, apart from Fanning being an irritating young woman.

I'm not. The UK likes to ban lots of movie/tv things. It recently banned The Human Centipede 2, even though it was actually very tame and funny. Didn't they also ban The Life of Brian or some nonsense just because it offended some religious fanatic's sensibilities.

Oh by the way, the ban was lifted with an 18+ rating slapped on it.

So yay for the gross retarded film !

And.. uhh.. if that's her in the article's picture, I say they made the right choice, good grief she's been hit with the ugly stick far too many times, and she's 17 ! Poor girl..

Yes, if they choose it as a career choice.

Dakota fanning chose to do this add. And is 17. Which is old enough enlist in the UK. It was her career choice. I don't see a problem.
