Nokia Lumia 800s are not available in Cyan on contract in UK from 16/11/201

I am pretty disappointed to hear that the Nokia Lumia 800s are not available in Cyan (or magenta) on contract in UK from 16/11/2011...might be a while before this happens.

I know 3 uk are only offering black after previously announcving cyan and black to both be available

what do you all think of this?

I'm completely unaffected by this. Not because of the fact that I'm not getting a Lumia, but because even if I was going to get a new phone, I would go for the black option. I don't understand the point of the more colourful choices.

I'm going to take a guess here and say that the bulk of 800s being made will be black and that the other two color choices will be limited and depend on demand. Thus I expect you could see those two for online order only and not at retail shops. Or if retail does get anything they'll probably be very very few of them.

The way Nokia did it with the 710 is the right way to go, just let people buy a different color back plate and change it if they want. Also, I think the tiles having the same color as the phone looks good actually, if you like the color in question that is.

this colored stuff would work if the phone color changes with the theme within the OS :p

coz i got tired of the Cyan fast. Now its the green or Cyan.. or i go for white background with red tiles..

these 3.. or white background with teal.

So buying a Cyan phone will look real bad with these other colors

If someone could make a phone like that it'd be a big seller, but I'd also imagine it'd cost double at least.
