Hi

So i installed this http://ageofempiresonline.com/

And i can't figure how i get started, to pick a character it asks me to upgrade which costs 1860 points (?14.99) or somewhere around there for the pack it wants to use that character, there are no free ones?? Do i need to pay to play this??

Greek, Egyptians and the upcoming Celts are free to play.

Below the upgrade button, you will have a create button to create and start your city. Its a fun game. you should enjoy it.

I never finished patching it since then (a few months ago.)

Of course, then there's that the patcher stopped finishing downloads and I haven't figured out how to fix it and stopped caring.

The support on their site was useless.
