You should get something of better than the corsair xms3, you're overpaying twice the amount for 8GB of RAM

Edit: Did you specifically choose DDR3 2000 for OCing? Have you looked in 1866 or 1600?

I personally own this monitor and it serves me very well, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236079

Have you looked at the 2 i posted? And according to your last comment the 120hz would be preferable for gaming i assume?

btw if you're interested you might as well get a FX6100 for $20 cheaper with a $10 code on newegg which has a lower TDP of 95W

yeah it will, go for a 120hz since you're into gaming. I'm trying to look at your list of parts and save some money here and there so you might have better options for a monitor

Not really better but it'll improve performance somewhat with Windows 8, the FX6100 pretty much matches the 1100T while using 95w compared to the 125w the Phenom II is using

windows ??8?! Your talking about Future proofing right or mistype lol, would the lack of turbo boost make a significant difference?

also do not buy a hard disk drive right now, the floods in tawain have sky rocketed hdd prices through the roof, opt for a fast solid sate drive instead. As things cool down you can add a cheap hdd later when 1TB drives use to cost $60

Windows 8 will be released next year, and yes I'm referring to future proofing (you might as well since you're spending that much money), Zambezi has a more effiecient Turbo Boost controller at version 2.0 idk how much of a difference it will make with todays application but the performance of Zambezi will eventually exceed Thuban as current application become multi threaded (uses more cores in this case)

Which Memory is the best performance cost ratio for gaming you think? I havent bought ram since pc400 ddr2.

I own these sticks atm, give great performance

I JUST CANT get OVER how cheap ram is...

I remember in the old days when I spent $130 just for 1GB of DDR2 RAM

there's an oversupply of DDR3 ram so it's really dirt cheap right now.

Ok so i am looking for ram, is the one you posted the highest performance for my current mobo setup? it seems that most of the ram i look up has some affinity towards intel cores...

If you're not sure go with a HAF 912 case (it can fit 15" length video cards which is pleny of room

the speed of the ram basically is the difference between 1600 and 2000. Your gigabyte mobo supports DDR3 1866 and can overclock to go up to 2000Mhz

on newegg this is your memory standard for your motherboard

Memory Standard DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1866/1600/1333/1066

So you dont think my current case could take a 11.3 inch card? and in that case on the ram wouldnt the ram i have potentially be fasteR?

I am not a fan of plastic cases, thanks though

You're looking at about $405 for the cpu+mb+ram combo you've selected, but you could build quad core sandy bridge for as low as $270. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure a quad core sandy bridge cpu will outperform the latest six core from amd...

to the OP go with this board and chip i got

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115070 2600k with hyper-threading 8 threaded chip

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131701

ASUS P8P67 DELUXE (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Asus has the best implementation of the new uefi witch is the replacement for Bios it is a kick ass board and with just 1 click you can OC to 4.5ghz they havea video on the link of uefi in action i would get that board and chip my build cost be around $1500 or so i am told as a good friend who could do it built me this system i got besides HDDs and GPU but built it for me for Christmas early

well with the parts i showed you and a Case and screen a GPU and all you could easly come to 1500 the 2600k is a damn fine chip and within your budget so why not go with it the 2600k default clock is 3.4ghz with a turbo speed of 3.8 but can OC very well with that Asus board i showed the one i use and Asus is the best

also i would go with this monitor as well it gets damn good reviews http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236059 it is not 120hz but i dont think you will need it also better brand name more reviews
