very true. if you believe he existed at all, his actual birthday is thought to be October time or there abouts. The December date is from a pagan festival that the church borrowed lol.

yep, that's what I said above, I was pretty sure he was born in april not october though. Goes to show how unknown this Jesus fella really is ;)

This image is so stupid. First of all you can use a USB stick for storing any kind of data. You can use a knife to cut rope, open packages and so forth. You can use a lighter to light a ciggerate or make a camp fire.

But what can you use a gun for other than shooting? It is a weapon designed to be a weapon it is not a general use tool like the other three objects in this image. The whole point of a gun is to kill or wound humans. End of.

Really, gun can be used to shot targets, (not HUMANS), knifes are WEAPONS, in London they have attempted to ban larger ones because people were using them in crimes, and honestly, USB drives can be weapons, there are many idiots out there that find them on the ground and plug them into a computer, or willing to trade their password for good chocolate and free USB drive (with spyware installed)(again in London).

Any of these things have more then once use, but then again you have an bias against guns, which is your choice, but others (like me, people in the picture, others here) don't.

A weapon is designed to be a deterrent first, and a gun makes a real good one when used properly.

Nice way to celebrate the birthday of the Prince of Peace.
Uh...the what?

If you're talking about Jesus, he wasn't born on Christmas (assuming he was a real guy of course). The Christians just stole a pagan holiday and made it their own.

Maybe you should learn something about history.

The gun is a SIG, the cartridge the .40 S&W developded for the FBI after the Florida 1980's shootout where they lost 5 agents due to their 9mm's and .38's being inadequate in stopping power. .40's are now used by most law enforcement agencies in the US, the FBI, Border Patrol, ICE, Coast Guard etc.

The round shown is a 135 grain Federal HST developed for the Dept. of Homeland Security for use in the HK P2000sk (sk = sc = subcompact) they use for deep cover. In spite of the parentage of this law enforcement combat round you can buy them in WalMart - $23 for a box of 50. Federal full metal jackets are $25 for a box of 100 here.

The HST's big advantage is its rapid expansion to .68" or as much as .84", creating a 1,700+ lb-ft pressure wave that can cause tissue damage far from the wound, including deep concussions or strokes in the brain, or broken bones from a flesh wound to an extremity. They're also good at penetrating glass and sheet metal.

The black gadget is an UpLULA magazine speed-loader.

Guns should be for protection ... and nothing more. Things like this glorify guns, and they're nothing but killing devices. How twisted does this photo look for crying out loud?! lol

Actually, I have never killed a human, but, I have killed deer and wild hogs, for food, and I use the hide for random things, (carpet mostly, have made a blanket as well.)
Great tool for hunting IMO, but I'm taking it you guys are vegan or something? Whatever you may be, a gun may have been designed for killing, but it's uses differ depending on the hands it is in. Just like a flash drive, knife, lighter, rope, box cutter, vehicle.... anything is potentially dangerous. As someone posted earlier, inanimate objects aren't the problem.... Bet you can guess what is though. Next time, don't post such an asinine comment without using your mind first.

And you feel the need to carry such weaponry as a form of 'self-defence'?

As I was told by the local Commissioner of Police during our concealed carry permit classes;
If a situation deteriorates to where you fear for your safety and the gun comes out shoot to kill, not wound. A wounded aggressor can still attack you. Doing that effectively means using the best ammunition available....
and then he talked for 2 hours about the various types of ammunition designed to instatly incapacitate an aggressor. HST was at the top of the list, along with Remington Golden Saber and Winchester Ranger. I took his professional advice.

To the people whining about December 25th not being the actual birthday of Jesus, nobody said that it was. What they said was that people were celebrating the birth of Jesus (or rather the prince of peace) - Which isn't inaccurate. They're still celebrating his birthday whether it's that day or not. Not really sure how someone would even misunderstand that or why they'd make an issue of it. *boggle*

I find the photo in the original post to be kind of disturbing really.

No one ever said a bomb is not for blowing up. Once again it is what you are blowing up. Guess you've never heard of demolition teams? Mining? Excavations? Archaeology?
The only true weapons that are developed for what you are trying to convey are anti-air, nukes, anti-tank, and grenades, amongst others. And you don't generally see those in civilian hands. I don't get what you are trying to prove with your comment.

Here in NY, the politicians only want two groups to have guns: the police and the criminals. His confusion is understandable, but with some education, he may be saved.
