12.5 hours for the campaign and (i think) most of the side quests. Still doing some quests and unlockables. For those thinking about buying and curious on time of play. Falls in line with IGNs 14 hours and Polygons 12 hours to complete.

Anyone playing this on a PC: Does it have full controller support?

With it being on XBOX and PS i'm assuming it does, but i also assumed BF4 would and it didn't.

Yep it supports a controller on PC. That's the version I'm currently playing.

game originally developed 2+ years ago. the game then switched developers and after several delays, it's just now coming out.

im holding off to see if theyre going to port it. i'd really like to play this on my PS4.

Given the high profile and strong reviews, it wouldn't seem to me that a port would be that difficult, even if it were simply the exact same resolution, etc.

I haven't heard anything about PS3/360 titles being difficult to port and Matt and Trey themselves are big Xbox fans, I'm surprised they didn't make a push for it there at least.

(Although I'd rather play on PS4.)

I wish I loved the game, I really did, but turn based RPG's are right up there with one of my least favorite gaming mechanics of all time. Literally right up there with my least favorite. Add to the fact I am about 45-60 minutes in and I still cannot get the damn timing down for the life of me, and I am really struggling to enjoy the gameplay whatsoever.

The game and environments however are truly the most brilliant I have ever seen. It truly is an interactive South Park game. It is unbelievable how well that aspect of things are.

So yeah, I am super torn here.

Just really wish it was a different gameplay mechanic.  :/

I've struggled with the timing as well, I'm far too twitchy to pull it off  Once you do it enough though it becomes a natural reflex. How far did you get?

The game isn't perfect, there are a lot of small niggles which are annoying but I think they're easy to overlook considering everything else. Apparently mage and jew are OP. I'm playing the warrior class which is difficult at times but once you level up your weapons you can steam roll most battles.

Liane Cartman's bedroom was the best

My copy is on the way, so I can't wait to get started.

As an old school jrpg fan, I'm happy to see a game that still uses a turn based rpg style for combat. The videos I have seen regarding the timing you have to use, mixed in with some QTE, make for a combat system that rewards focus. You can't just sit there and spam one button if you want to be effective.

Its amazing how spot on they captured the look and feel of South Park itself. Its a treat for anyone that is actually a fan of the series.

I picked Jew class, just thought I had to LOL Currently on my way to Jimbos Guns for a Gas Mask to recruit Token.  Her Bedroom was so damn funny. I truly do LOVE everything about the game except the combat. I will keep trying to proceed, but if it really starts getting combat heavy, as much as I truly enjoy the atmosphere, I will probably stop playing to be honest. Will see, maybe it will all click for me, but seriously I just never liked turned based RPG's, I honestly never beat a single one over the years.

Just finished the game and all the sidequests and really enjoyed it.

I'm not the biggest South Park fan. Watched the first couple of seasons and that is about it.

Obsidian did a great job on making it feel like you're in an episode. You can also see the South Park guys had real input in this game.

Some real laugh out loud moments. I'm hoping for some story DLC for this game.

Gameplay wise, it is pretty basic for an RPG. If you don't fast travel, take any fight you see and do the sidequests by the end of the game you'll be so overpowered it is easy.

The timing in battles to begin with was really annoying, i thought the game was pretty tough because of it, to begin with. Once you do get the hang of it, it is kind of fun but there isn't enough abilities to mix it up.

I beat the game a few days ago, after about 12.5 hours, more with a few side quests that I didn't do earlier. I do hope there is more story via DLC later, the only reason I am doing a 2nd play through is to get the remaining 9 achievements I missed on the first play through. I will agree the dialogue will get old and as far as RPGs it is rather basic. But it is quite a fun time, once you get used to the turn based combat, which is still fun with more moves and speeding up using items before attacking.

I'm fighting myself really hard with getting this now or waiting for a sale. I'm currently knee-deep in Bravely Default and Shin Megami Tensei IV; and with Titanfall and Dark Souls 2 this Tuesday...I'm torn. I really do hope there are plans for DLC because the quality of the game + the myriad of storylines should make for a few pieces.

DL, I hate turn based RPGs but I couldn't put this down. I beat it today and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I did all the side quests though, so the game did get a bit easy towards the end.

Canada was really awesome, but I won't say why. If you've gotten there and didn't enjoy its creativity, you might want to reconsider gaming.

Absolutely loving this game, so many awesome references to all past episodes.

I do have a question. Has anyone spotted
Satan or Saddam Hussein?
I did find
The Woodland Critters in the lost Woods
Thanks!

I have not played it but I have seen what makes Canada awesome, and it does look kick ass, but I probably will never see it. I sent my copy back to GameFly this morning.

I only get around 5-10 hours per week to game these days so I am more and more particular about what I play as a result. This past week I only played about 4 hours for the entire week., If I had the time like I once used to and/or if there were not other games currently out that I am more interested in playing, I would have powered through the game despite me disliking the gameplay mechanic.

Since I do not have that luxury anymore and there are other games that I do enjoy playing I made the decision not to continue forcing myself to enjoy the game. It was not an easy decision either, I want to like the game, I truly truly do, and despite me actually loving certain aspects of it, I just do not enjoy other aspects of it enough.

Absolutely a situation where the good does not outweigh the bad unfortunately.

just completed the game i didn't realise that they were in it, i might have to play through it again.

The game is brillant, it's the best tv/movie license game ive ever played, the work put in by trey and matt really show, the story and side quests are good, the writing is good as is the voice acting. The graphics are completely spot on.

It was a little shorter than other rpg's but it's a quaility game and it was well worth paying full price if it means more of these kinds of games.

I would love to see the same thing happen to The Simpsons/Family Guy and American Dad!

so far my game of the year :)

I'm probably about half way through it, and I'm loving every minute of it.  I've watched the hell out of the show and movie and I love how much they tie them into the game.  The only thing I really don't like is the fart training.  It's not exactly clear what they want you to do, and then it doesn't really have anything to do with the actual game.

I could see myself playing through it a few times to try out different characters.
