Pope Benedict uses Sony Tablet S to ignite holiday lighting display

If you're at all familiar with the goings-on at the Vatican, you probably know that from time to time, it likes to remind us how "with it" the Pope is, such as when he got an iPod to much fanfare a few years back. This year, Pope Benedict XVI had something very special in mind for the holidays. Yes, the Pope used a Sony Tablet S to light up the Vatican's 2,132 foot tall lighting display 130 miles from the Vatican in Gubbio, Italy. Calling it the "world's biggest Christmas tree," the Vatican declared that the Pope would "touch the screen of a Sony 'Tablet' with an 'Android' operating system which, via the Internet, will transmit the command to switch on the electric current to the tree."

There you have it - Android even has the blessing of the Roman Catholic pontifex maximus now.

uggh, I have no time for his "holiness" (N) . Goes to show what the Pope is all about, nice gold rings, a nice title and money/

It might help your case if you actually knew a little about the ring (note that he only wears one) that he wears. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ring_of_the_Fisherman It has nothing to do with money.

Didn't he think that if he prayed the lights would go on?

Be funny as hell if the button he pressed really did nothing and you saw a pic of some janitor bent over in the distance , with the crack of his ass on display, holding the cord plug, waiting for the pope to push the button so he could plug it in and turn on the lights.
