Boot Program to get Specs

Recommended Posts

I have just got a job that involves as part of the work getting specifications--mem., h.d. space, processor speed--for computers and have a hard time getting specs with certain computers...like if they don't start or are hosed with 3000 infections. Normally, the procedure is to use Speccy but that's not always can be done in certain circumstances. Can somebody tell me of a program that can be burned to a CD that allows one to boot off of it and get the same type of specs one could get from a program like Speccy with the same/similar "user-friendliness" for Windows based systems?

BIOS should have most of that information. If not, you can try booting a live Linux CD like Ubuntu, or such. Or, you could try Hiren's Boot CD.
