Since the Windows Live Hotmail update today, I am getting the following message when I try to access my Windows Live Hotmail account in Firefox 8:

"Sorry, there's a problem with Hotmail at the moment.

Hotmail wasn't able to complete this request. Microsoft may contact you about any issues you report."

The website works fine in Internet Explorer 9 and in Safari on my iPhone 4S (the mobile view).

I have:
  • Cleared the Firefox cache via. Firefox and CCleaner
  • Tried SHIFT+F5
  • Disabled all add-ons

Works fine here with Firefox.

Knowing that does not help me in any way, shape or form.

Yes it does. It now means you know that it's an issue that is local to you, not effecting others. No need to be a douche about it.

Try clearing your Firefox profile or re-install Firefox.

I've figure out what is causing it.

When I collapse all the folders on the left, I can no longer access Hotmail.

So now it's not working in IE, either :/ Same error message as Firefox.

Did you try: Clear cache and cookies and reset both browsers to default settings? also what versions are you using?

A Microsoft page not working right in other browsers. I'm shocked.

Firefox 8.0.1 and Internet Explorer 9.0.

It's not a browser issue as I can make it happen in any browser I try. It happens when I collapse the custom-made folders on the left.
