Buy or Not to Buy [Please suggest]

Hi,

I am in big dilemma whether to buy WP7 or not.

Huge fan of Nokia and Microsoft.

My last mobile N8 is dead month back (motherboard ditched me)

I have enough money to pick any mobile.

1. Nokia lumia 800 - 29K INR - which i believe is priced too heavy in India where i can get Galaxy S2 for just 27K

2. Samusng Omnia W - 20K INR - with the same specifications of 800 but with 5MP cam and 8Gb space

3. Nexus Prime - though android phone, based on ICS reviews, making me to get it. might cost - 32-35K and release date Jan end

4. Nokia lumia 710 - 20K INR - same as omnia W

5. HTC Radar - 22K INR

At the same time, there are rumors that Apollo is coming with dual core processor support and lot more features in Mid of 2012

by that time these wp phones will be too older to support apollo?

Which one should i go for?

Remember I mainly use my mobile for Music, heavy messaging and calls.

I heard Music quality n Lumia phones is just OK. I used to listen in my N8, which is far more better in music (excellent boss) by any other phones which i testesd

I would wait for Apollo and see what happens. It's coming up soon. Also, I think older generations wouldn't be able to upgrade to Apollo, so something you might consider. However, Mango is pretty sweet. Just needs a better notification system. Once so, I think I'm pretty much set.

Personally, considering the hardware I would go and grab the SII.

I think all the Mango phones will be able to upgrade to WP8, and unless MS says otherwise even older first gen phones I expect as well.

So, saying that, if you want to give WP7.5 a go any of the newer phones works, just depends on what you want to spend. If the Lumia 800 had a 4" screen i'd go with that myself but right now it's got the same size screen as my LG, so I'll have to wait to see what else Nokia shows off in 2012.

The Nexus Prime is called the Galaxy Nexus now, to me it really stands out compared to those other phones.

I would've picked Nokia Lumia 800 because it has really nice design.

However, there is one device out of the options that you mentioned, that really "deserves" to be bought. HTC Titan.

I'd say get the Nokia Lumia 800 if you can stomach Windows on it.

If your Music is one of your primary tasks, then Android is the last thing you should consider. Only WP or iPhone have decent built-in features and marketplaces for Music. I would suggest going with either Lumia 800, 710 or Radar. I guess Omnia will be good too but personally I'd take these others over it.

WP is great of music, messaging and calls. If you really care for hardware specs then pick SGSII but if you care for a good out of the box phone then WP is a clear winner.
