We are in the middle of a paradigm shift: More and more people are buying smartphones and/or tablets. For mobile computing, in some cases also to replace laptops.

Let's hear it from the Neowin community: Which smartphone and/or tablet OS are you going to use in 2012 (or are using already)? Or are you a traditionalist who stays away from those newfangled devices? Vote away.

(Disclaimer: Yes, I know Windows 7 isn't a mobile OS. I still included it since Windows 7 tablets are on sale.)

For smartphone, I voted Windows Phone 7, even though I've got an iPhone. :p Windows Phone 7 is an amazing improvement over v6, which I had on an HTC Touch Diamond before, and it was diabolical; they might as well have called it Windows 98 Smartphone Edition.

For tablets, I don't know too much about Windows 8 on tablets yet, so I voted other and go with WebOS, as it's not open-source, so expect a dev team similar to CyanogenMod over on Android to keep improving it. :)
