I will never ship anything without insurance again!!

I didn't see much issue in the second video. And the camera guy has also disabled

commenting and rating for this video, because he knew he was making an issue out of nothing.

@FMH - well that depends on how you look at it. At the end of the video where you see the box if he wasnt home and it sat in the snow for a long period who knows what would have happened. I mean.. the guy said he was trained to put the box in the bushes? I def think the guy was out of line but he def still had a right to be angry.

The guy with the camera is an idiot. Where the **** is the guy spose to put it. It's not melting, the electronics SHOULD be in a sealed package.

I just watched the other 2 videos. After watching the other ones a little frozen snow is the best thing in the world.

It was the monitor toss seen 'round the world. FedEx has responded to a viral video that showed one of the company's drivers throwing a (now broken) computer monitor over a fence.

The statement reads: The situation has now been resolved to the customer's satisfaction, and we are handling the employee according to our disciplinary policies...While we continue to be surprised about the behavior shown, we know this is an aberration and is not reflective of the outstanding FedEx customer service that makes us proud around the world.

"I want you to know that I was upset, embarrassed, and very sorry for our customer?s poor experience," said Matthew Thornton, a FedEx senior vice president. "We have met with the customer face to face and they already have a replacement monitor at no cost to them. They have accepted our apology and say they are fully satisfied with what we've done in response to this unacceptable delivery."

The clip has racked up more than 2 million views. In the video's description, the poster writes, "The sad part is that I was home at the time with the front door wide open. All he would have had to do was ring the bell on the gate. Now I have to return my monitor since it is broken." The footage appears to come from a surveillance camera.

There is no word on what sort of disciplinary action will be taken against the employee. However, a spokeswoman for the company told the U.K.'s Daily Mail, this won't be his best day. :shifty:

At least the customer is being reasonable about it and not trying to sue or something. Dude was clearly having a terrible day or something. Went crazy. I would love to hear his explanation of why he did it, what was going through his head at the time

Video posted before, http://www.neowin.ne...page__hl__fedex

At least there the store behind it. I've had a few packages delivered the last few days that were about 10 ft away from my garage door. Looks like the driver just leaned out dropped them and drove away....

I think its fake, but who cares what i think. He tosses the monitor at the very end with his finger tips like the box was empty. 80% of OMG youtube videos are fake, they generate a big revenue and everybody is trying to fool the audiance.

If you comment with different opinion will get deleted or raged.

Its a money making factory these kind of videos nowdays, i find that it demonstrates how fake our society really is. Its cool to fake and gets you go far.

I think if there was any doubt, of that video being non-legit, FedEx would not have acknowledged it through a press release.

It's not even close of being fake, the incident is very much real. pretty much making news around the web and on tv (it was on cnn last week). i suggest you get

you facts straight before dismissing it as fake.

When i heard it on the news i expected that he didn't know whats int he package (fedex box), but this was pretty obvious. Receiver will get another monitor and fedex guy will loose a job.

My general experience with FedEx is that they just leave things by the door and do not knock which in my case means most of my stuff is either stolen or ruined by rain.

Although what THIS guy did wasnt good you have to realize that your package may or may not see smaller drops of a few feet while in route. You cant expect white glove service when you are paying $5 to have a package shipped across the country in under 3 days. I have been working at a fedex hub for 5 years now so ive seen what these boxes go through. Yes, some do get damaged, but thats way less than 1% of the packages, this is a fact. The number one reason packages get damaged is not from the workers, its from that actual way the package was prepared. If you take a 1'x1'x2' package stick a few things in it and tape it up and expect to to make it in perfect shape you are an idiot. The package needs to be able to coexist with other packages being stacked on top of it. The second another boxes is loaded above it the box will just fall apart. You need a good firm box with solid packing materials. The companies that you buy from know this(usually) and package them right, i dont know the condition of the monitor this guy through, but usually monitors have good quality packaging and would be just fine after that. Im not saying what he did was right, it was for sure wrong. Im talking more about the people who complain after other packages being smashed, you're an idiot if you think you can just grab an old used box with little to no packing materials and expect it to make it every time.

Wish I lived where you did, last time I shipped something about 600 miles from where I lived, it cost around $13, and it was way smaller than a monitor.

Pretty bad service that is. But I've witnessed similar things. I remember watching out my living room window as a delivery man took a box containing two hard drives I had ordered out of his truck, balance it on his knee while he grabbed for a pad of paper and his scanner, then the box slipped off his knee in to the road. He picked it up and delivered it.

Out of curiosity I decided to try the drives before sending them back and both had tons and tons of errors. I'm pretty sure that drop messed them up.

The drop from the guy's knee probably wasn't the worst drop it had in it's travels. Packages go through a lot rougher terrain then a three foot drop. Chances are is they weren't packed properly, FedEx's guidelines call for 3" of padding between the inner box and outer box or 2" of packing peanuts. It should have no problem surviving a waist high drop.

They were packed well. Just a lousy delivery guy is the reason those drives were messed up.

But this was city link, not fedex.
