Case switches to motherboard help

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I know where the Switches go on the motherboard and everything but my question is, that have a + and a - where it should go, now the cables apart of the Case do not state which side is + or which side is -, Does it matter which way they are connected at all?

I am on about these:

The switches which turn on your pc on the front, reset switch, hard drive led etc...

Help much appreciated

Matt.

One of the 2 wires should be red, and the other black. Red is always + (red for danger). The rest of them (USB, front-audio etc...) should have labels on the black crimped plug.

The cable wire is completely black, black + black and white on the wires :s, One side has a little arrow on it pointing down over 1 of the wires though on the plastic bit. I need to try find it in the case manual.

The little arrow usually means negative. Take the one that is POWER LED plug and plug it in to the POWER LED plug on the motherboard. It wont light up if it's backwards. When you get it to light up, follow with the rest of the plugs.
