Hum
Meet Savannah Smile. She?s cool and crisp, bite-sized and lemony, and dusted in powdered sugar?and at the end of the week Girl Scouts across America will be knocking on doors and selling this all-new cookie. Girl Scout Cookie season is about to swing into full gear with young scouts starting to take orders on January 7 (the actual cookies don?t arrive until February). To mark the Girl Scouts? 100-year anniversary the organization is introducing a new treat, Savannah Smiles. These cookies, described in the sales guide as ?bursting with zesty lemon flavor,? are inspired by the organization?s founder Juliette Gordon Low who was born in Savannah, Ga. The cookie is half-moon shaped like a lemon wedge and the ?Brownie Smile.? more FMH 1 Share
LittleNeutrino Veteran Posted January 13, 2012 Veteran Share Posted January 13, 2012 And just think if you want to try them you have to spend $4 on 12 cookies each year you get less cookies for more money (which is funny because the company that makes the cookies sells them year round at normal prices and quantities under a different name :p

I think with Samoas you closer to 20 cookies and more so with thin mints. My favs are thinmints, samoas, and tagalongs. I only buy a few boxes because my niece is in the girl scouts. Then I think breyers makes icecream out of them as well.
Hum
^ I just saw $1 boxes of thin mints at a local store. Makes you wonder.
DocM
The premium is to support the Scouts - something I'm willing to pay even if I can't eat them very often. My grandkids don't mind though :p

techbeck
^ I just saw $1 boxes of thin mints at a local store. Makes you wonder. $1? Yea, probably last years. I'd stay away from those...haha. I think breyers makes the icecream after the sales and with the left over cookies that no one bought. Could be wrong tho but thinmint icecream is really good. Buy all the $1 boxes and sell them to me for $2, so I can get some fake girl scouts to sell them for $4.

jdegree
Can get 2 bags of fudge mint cookies (Great Value -Walmart) for the price of 1 box of thin mints. Sorry Girl Scouts, will be getting my mint kick someplace else.
Southern Patriot
The best "girl scout cookie" is actually a drink. Basically a White Russian with an added shot of peppermint schnapps. Tastes just like a thin mint.
