I doubt i'll ever get a wireless gaming mouse. None of the Razer mice im interested in are weireless, and the razer ones that are having a port to make them wired, so i think it'll be fine in that area.

thanks everyone for the replies.

Mine is wired and wireless however due to the miserable battery life it's strictly wired now.

Standard Logitech mice have served me better in the past

Love Razer, I have a Logitech G500 which I've upgraded from a G5 since that died too to the wires tearing inside. I've had a bad experience with logitech so far, I can't lie. I've had three broken G15's (one blue, two orange). One orange keyboard, some of the keys didn't work, the other orange one the keys started malfunctioning on the left side (macro keys + tab/caps lock), and it malfunctioned more and more which has ended up to the RFC alt keys now. As for the blue one, keys would work with no problems at any given time, but then it would lock up and not work at all.

Been using a naga for the past year and it's been good in mmo's, not tried any other razer product but so far, good in my books. Also using a G110 right now which works flawlessly, and I love it.

I've used a Lachesis for some time now. No complaints here.

So i pretty much ignored everyones suggestions :p and just ordered the Razer Naga Epic. i got it for about $30 cheaper than retail which is good, and only $20 more than the older Naga is shipped.

I just been eye balling this mouse for a few weeks now debating over getting it. It's the only mouse i've seen in my research that i cant get off my mind. Even if its not the best for FPS and such, it still looks way cooler than most of the so called good gaming mice, and the reviewers who use it seem to love it. I was talking to a girl in my BF3 clan that owns i think the older version, and she loves it.
When i say it looks cool, i mean the design. Looks like it'd fit my hand nicely. I don't mean the silly lights.

I don't want to get an older mouse, i want something newer so it i was down to this or the razer mamba,, but i couldnt find the mamba for a cheaper price. $100 for a mouse is alot in itself, dont need to be spending $130 or whatever.
PLus like i said, the Naga just has been on my mind for a while, and even if i had gotten another mouse, i'd still be wanting this one.

and meh, if i dont like it, i can send it back or resell it, trade it. etc. I wont have regrets this way :p

so it'll be here within a week. So we'll see how i feel then.
Worst could happen is i trade it for two logitech mice :p

Thanks all again for the replies, i didnt really ignore your suggestions, i really took them all into consideration. but in the end the sexiness of this mouse won.

As lg as your happy. Sexiness is what sold me on the mamba as well. Hopefully the purchase works out in the long run for you. Razer earned their name for a good reason. They do make awesome hardware. Unfortunately I've simply seen too much bad and not enough good first hand. Forgot to mention the keyboard I bought that repeated the letter 'i' when pressed. It would consistently put out iiii when pushed one time. Had to return that to best buy. I replaced it with 3 of the exact same model and all of them had the exact same issue on 3 separate computers.

Either way, good luck! The mouse looks sexy and hopefully it will 'be' sexy for you!

I recently got a RAT 7 and cheap too compared to AUD prices/stores via amazon.com and jeeze you will not have to worry about the mouse not conforming to your hand because you can change EVERYTHING about it. Very nice mouse I must say.

yeah i had a cheap keyboard that did that once. not sure if it was from the wireless part or not.
right now i use a Microsoft wireless keyboard that i've had for like 4 years now and it still works great (microsoft comes how with amazing hardware actually). It came with a nice mouse too, but i broke that in a Bad company 2 rage fit, ha a few months ago.

i should have the naga in a few days and i'll comment.
The mamba did look nice, and i was about to get it, but it was a bit more pricey. I was luckily able to find the Naga Epic brand new, shipped for only $102. Cheapest i could find the latest Mamba was $119 with shipping included.

but ti think i like the curvature of the Naga more, and it has the changing side grip things so it can turn from a palm mouse to finger clutching or whatever.
the only thing im worried about is some reviewers said it was almost impossible to pick up with your hand and move, due to the buttons on the side and there not being a proper grip, but i dunno. we'll see.

I am excited though :D
man i never expected to spend some much on a mouse haha. oh well, it might be worth starving for a while :p

I hope you're happy with the Naga. I saved for weeks for my Lachesis, and I love the thing.

Nice, enjoy the Naga. Personally, I have been using the Imperator 4G (2012 edition) for a few days now, and it has been working out quite well for me so far. I suppose that any potential build quality issues will take time to reveal themselves, but based on my initial impressions, I am quite pleased with my purchase. Hopefully you have a similarly pleasant experience with the Naga :).

Wow, i bought the Naga for some guy off Ebay for like $29 cheaper than you can get it anywhere, and i got it the next day (today), and i guess he has a partnership with dell because they're the ones who shipped it to me. Cheaper than what they even sell it at. Crazy.
It came with free shipping, and i got it faster than stuff i've bought on newegg and paid $30+ for over night shipping ha.

So far im enjoying it. Trying to figure out the best settings combinations for the keys. It's also going to take me a while to get used to it. It's a different mouse than i'm used to and shaped completely different, so i guess i need to grow new hand muscles, and get used to holding a mouse in a different way.

But i like it alot. Also love the side plates that you can take off and replace with ones that fit your hands better.
The entire charger dock, usb cable, and everything is really sexy too.

so im happy. :D

that's the cool thing... tons of buttons, but its not like you HAVE to use them, and they dont ever seem in the way. I can put my thumb over them to grip the mouse and it doesnt push down the buttons (its also not hard top push the buttons if you wanted to), it actually seems to give it a texture like grip, ha.

So its like they arent there when you dont need them, but are when you do.

It's a very expensive mouse, i would probably suggest not getting it unless you wanted the buttons and the USB dock thing is pretty nice too.

ha i've been talking to Razer about the battery, trying to get a new one. Since the battery mine came with is swollen and doesnt hold a charge for more than an hour.

They finally emailed me back with

Quote

We will make a one time exception and make arrangements for a spare Razer Naga Epic battery to be sent over. Please allow some time for it to reach you. Thank you.

Is that normal for them not to send out new batterie? Originally they wanted me to send the entire mouse and everything to them for a different one, but i told them in email that i didn't want to do that because it was just the battery that was messed up, and they'd send me back a REFURBISHED mouse and not a brand new one.

so i don't know if their customer support is crap and they normally dont replace missing batteries, or if they're AWESOME and sending me out a battery instead of making me go through all the rest of the hassle.

anyways i am happy with razer, i just don't understand why its an "exception" to help me.
