Untethered A5 jailbreak arrives!

According to hacker p0sixninja, the jailbreak community just release an untethered jailbreak solution for A5-powered devices running iOS 5.0 or iOS 5.0.1. The updated greenpois0n tool is now available for download here. This means that iPad 2 and iPhone 4S owners can finally jailbreak their device without the need to tether it to a computer after a reboot. On Monday, Hacker pod2g pointed at a video by Chronic Dev Team member Dustin Howett that showed a successful untethered jailbreak on an iPhone 4S. The updated greenpois0n tool takes advantage of the so-called ?corona? exploit by hacker pod2g and both the iPhone Dev Team and Chronic Dev team collaborated on the project.

Or perhaps it's a competitive product marketed correctly? Are you upset because someone chose something different to your choice??

I'll probably upgrade to the 5 whenever it's out. Can't believe my 3GS has held out so well compared to other manufacturers phones. Apple did the right thing when they included iOS5 on the device that's over 2 years old.

That alone makes Apple my preferred brand as other manufacturers seem to think your phone is disposable after a year.
