lion Clean Install Clarification

Hello,

I have decided to do a clean install of Lion my mac has gon from Leopard to Snow Leopard to Lion without ever having a clean install so wanted to give it a clean bill of health and see if it helps with the performance.

I have my main hard (in the mac) split into two

Partition 1

Partition 2

Partition 1 is where i want the Lion install to go Partition 2 is where i have some data etc that i don't want touching.

If i run the installer do i get the choice to just Erase & Install to Partition 1? Partition 2 won't be touched will it?

yes, it won't touch the second partition, only the one you choose to reinstall on

I would STILL suggest backing up to an external anyway. Now seems like a good time :)

Anything of importance was copied off prior to the install i just wanted clarification on this :)

Anyways all went well and Lion is now blazing. So much better than before.
