Did you read your own question? You asked how they can't make it "in such a way", as in
more realistic per the question you quoted.

Yea, I'm not digging the new outfit at all. But hey... we'll see how it plays out.

Something also to note the colors of Superman were not always Red White and Blue. (not to mention the original mask for the Lone Ranger was purple (due to the dullness of the mask black would bring)
And now we know why-- Superman used to wear shorts over his suit.
