I saw it coming... me and my wife have watched every single episode starting from the pilot...but this season we just can't get into the show (we're still watching it but it's almost painful :/)
After much debate about it, mainly be saying perhaps we should give it a chance still, me and my misses actually gave up after the first 2 episodes of this season. Literally have not watched an episode since. So yeah, I think it is time, and perhaps was as others have said, after Season 6.

I will say they have zero to be ashamed of. Truly one of the better television dramas to ever grace the small screen, so my hats off to them for creating such an amazing show to begin with. (Y)

Yep, my wife and I speculated about the ending of the series after House gets out of jail, we watched one or two episodes after that and then stoped. It would've been nice to keep him in jail to make it more interesting but it went downhill steeply.

It was one of the best shows. Hope Fox can fill the gap with something good.

It was bad after season 4ish.

I don't know if Bones is canceled yet but hopefully it also gets the ax.

Spin of or some kind of variation? This is just too much of a cash cow to let it die with dignity.

Although Chase, Foreman or Taub doesn't quite have the same ring.

Agree, but I really don't see what they can come up with.

Cancelled isn't the right word, it implies that Fox decided not to continue or pick it up for another season, whereas it was the decision of the producers to end it.

It was going to end sooner or later, 8 seasons is a good run on TV actually. Not many shows that I know of make it to s9+, even big hits etc.

I agree. 8 seasons are more than enough. Its good that they are closing this at a high point. Rather than a lower one

Got old a long time ago. Now its just irritating at points. Shame cause for first few seasons I really enjoyed it. But after about the 4th it got a bit boring and I lost interest. Some of the eps have been nothing short of brilliant tho

I hope the series finale will have a twist, i.e., it is actually Lupus this time.

I kind of want House to go into a coma, and have the other doctors try and figure out what's wrong using memories of what he's done as clues with him dying at the end.

House was a great character, if only they let him do some more episodes out of the hospital, like in the psychic clinic or the prison.

It's still a nice show, and sad to see it go.
