Application for streaming video

I have ALOT of my video stored digitally on my Desktop and would like to have that entire library available on my Android Tablet. Is there a streaming application already available that would allow me to stream the videos over the internet to my Tablet?

You mean over the intranet or do you mean streaming from your PC to your device connected to wifi somewhere else in the world? If intranet, that's what DLNA is all about. You should be able to find plenty of DLNA apps in the market as well as setup your desktop (windows 7 can do all that by default using Windows Media Player). The source file type however makes a difference. If it's all MP4 then should be easy but MKV and others might cause some issues.

As for internet, that all depends on what your ISP allows and such. They actively block certain ports which will make it harder do what you want.

I do mean over the Internet. I knew about setting up a home media server and all for that option but thanks for the response. I have Comcast. I have already searched the market and Google for ways of doing it but with no luck.
