Craigslist post advertises baby for sale

The man behind a Craigslist ad advertising an infant for sale said it was all intended to be a joke, but law enforcement's not laughing. Clarksville police have arrested a man and charged him with creating a fake ad, offering to sell a baby for $850.

The posting on Craigslist said the child was born last August and is named Joseph. The ad ends with, 'He does not cry that much and is a very quiet baby'. After a Clarksville woman contacted law enforcement about the ad, Clarksville police and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation sprung into action.
