What is going to happen after OS X 10.9?

If they're confident to have announced a new naming scheme it's most likely they will stay with this strategy for a good couple more years. It should continue to be 10.X and version numbers will be dropped in the official name.

If OS XI do come along it will be a significant overhaul, so as some of you have said a OS X/iOS merge of some sorts, or a significantly new way of interacting with a desktop (TV/media hub?).

I'm genuinely curious about this. Are they going to start calling it OS XI or OS11 (or something else)? Thoughts?

If they're cool they'll create a brand new OS and call it "Cedric"

If they think of OS X as a brand instead of a number, they could have a OS X 11.

this. though I suspect they'll go 10.10 and up for a while first untill they finally get around to upgrading the OS and making it a modern up to date OS again.

It'll be OS X 10.10, more than likely with UI changes to make it look similar to iOS 7.

More like OS X.10 (10.10)
