Won't Recognize Microsoft Account

Recommended Posts

I upgraded my computer from Windows 7 to Windows 8 last night. The installation went smoothly, no errors or anything.

When I got to the setup process I entered my Microsoft Account ID and it signed in fine. The account settings even say that I am logged in with my Microsoft Account since it asks me if I want to switch it to a local account. And now on to the problem. When I open some apps (Music, SkyDrive) it tells me I should switch my account to a non-local one to get the full functionality of the app. I've tried switching to local and back to a connected account, but no luck. Also, the Messenger app will connect the first time right after logging into the computer from boot. After I switch to anything else and come back, it gets stuck trying to connect.

Is anybody else having this problem?
