Building a ghost image server

Question

Not sure if this is the right place or not. So if its wrong please change it.

I am going to be building a Ghost image server soon that will host numerous ghost images. What is the best way about doing this. Should I just load up Windows 7 with file sharing or do i need some ghost server software or something running. So far as I know we are not going to be doing multicasting just one off images using a server rather than an external drive. However in the future we would like the ability to do multicasting.

If it is not clear. I have no idea what I am doing I have never attempting making a Ghost image server before.

Well this is how I've done it (roughly)

Install Windows Server 2003 (just Server 2003) then setup Remote Installation Services (RIS), Install Norton Ghost, then Service packs.

You do it this because if you install Server 2003 with SP2, then it'll install Windows Deployment Server (use to be RIS) however Norton Ghost doesn't work with WDS just RIS.

So I believe if RIS is working, then you upgrade the service packs it'll change to WDS but will work in legacy mode (RIS = Ghost)

Make sense? good!
