I think most of them are worse than the official logo. Especially since none of the them capture the whole point behind the "Metro" experience, at least the way Microsoft explained it.

All of them are poorly made.

Only one or two were worthy of 4 stars.

Others are useless

Most only deserved 3 stars or less. There were a few that got 4 stars from me and one actually got 5.

Good ones were the designs that adhered to the Metro design principle.

Adding gradients and such, while perhaps more pleasing to the consumer, doesn't hold strongly to the Metro identity, so I wasn't really moved by them even if their execution looked nice.

Some of them started reminding me of the AVG logo.
