That's a shame, it cuts out before we get to see the big cross fall towards them.

I wonder why those people decided to do that.

I live in Benghazi, Libya where those graves have been for ages, no one ever before thought of doing such a horrendous thing and its sanctity always has been respected... We - Muslims - respect the dead whatever his religion, and those whom done this hideous act don't represent Muslims at all. That's said, most of Benghazi residents were horrified when they heard the news - some even tried to stop/catch them - but they wasn't surprised because a previous act of digging up Muslims graves was done in the past two months by "unknowns".

My God rests all of their souls (the ones in the graves of course, not the offenders!)

That's the normal line given whenever a group of muslims are caught out. which side is to be believed?

I am interested of your opinion on the new government of Libya?

@bAsKeT cAsE and trip21

I clearly said that not only Christian-Jewish graves have been destroyed, but also Muslims graves by the same "group" of people... You should not treat as - Muslims - by double standards: if the same thing happens in your country (destroying & tampering with graves) the offenders are called "muggers - criminals...etc." not Christians, but when it happens in a Muslim country those will be Christianity/Jewish haters' Muslims.

Also - this is not BTW a call for being a Muslim - you should not judge Islam without reading Quran (our bible) first... It clearly states about the forbiddens, which are almost the same forbiddens in your Bible, we firmly believe that our Quran and your bible are from the same origins (the mighty God)...

The acts attributed to Muslims and Islam are not always right and mostly exaggerated... A final word is the word "Islam" came from "Salam = Peace" in Arabic, this should really an indicator to the roots of our religion, and those "extremists" minority should not be counted on us.

Peace on you... (not Islam :))

The conduct shown by this Muslims is reprehensible to say the least. I know the dead don't feel pain anymore and as the Klingon say the body is just and empty shell, but it's still wrong to mess with the remains of other peoples loved ones. There is just no excuse for their behavior.

@ sidroc

The situation in Libya is still the very beginnings of its infancy... The Libyans are very impatient people and a true believers to rumors, so they ask the government not to do anything radical until an elected government is in control, and in the same time they are asking for some "radical" decisions! (an example: they don't want the current government to do any new construction contracts - to minimize the effects of the current administration corruption - but in the same time they are demanding a full overhaul of the destroyed cities!)

Also a lot of parties are now working on their agendas and pushing more bad rumors about the Transitional Council and its members and even causing conflects (as what happened recently at Al-Kufra), causing the people to divide on themselves and questioning the viability of the council... That's why Mr. Abduljalil - in my humble opinion - was trying not to be a lot in the media: he just want to get the damn "National Transitionary Government" elected and get out of the picture totally!

They need a lot of time, and the people needs to be educated about democracy... Do you know that they are now having a huge argument about Federalism vs. Decentralism ?
