O2 UK Galaxy S II Now Receiving Android 4.0

It appears O2 UK have beaten their target window of Mid-April for the Galaxy S II?s update to Ice Cream Sandwich by a long shot. It?s still March ? late March, mind you, but it?s March ? and the update is now rolling out to users. You?ll need to get it through Kies, but we?re sure that small inconvenience won?t bother most of you. Be sure to connect your phone and search for the update now.

Hmm I don't seem to be able to get ICS on my S2. I have the latest version of kies (2.3.0.12035_16) but it's saying I have the latest firmware version (PDA:KI4 / PHONE:KI1 / CSC:KH2 (XEU)).

Any ideas on how to get my kies to detect the upgrade??

Is your phone on O2? Have you rooted your phone and applied a different recovery or a different ROM? Also, what S2 variant do you have?

What version of KIES do you have? ICS doesnt support all versions.

Ok, did some more research. While some O2 phones are getting ICS via KIES now, your versions will be updated sometime this month. So probably just a little while longer.

However, you can install it here sooner if you like....
