My English is not the best, but I have some news to share with you the Neowin.

This week to share a news site WinBrasil on my Facebook profile, a member known as Marcelo Bing commented revealing unique information about Microsoft's plans.

The news talks about shared Microsoft's decision to discontinue the integration between Windows Live and MySpace. However, the user Marcelo Bing said the publication in a few words saying "will no longer exist Windows Live." When asking for more details on the subject, Marcelo Bing says, "In earlier operating systems the service will continue to be called Windows Live, Windows 8 now, is" Messaging "and all Windows Live services will be unified." "The Windows Live brand will be discontinued, I think the one that will be branded the store's Xbox, Xbox Live," added Marcelo Bing.

As the original reporter of this to Neowin, the email I received from the Windows Live Team made no mention whatsoever of Windows Live itself being discontinued - only that integration with MySpace is being dropped. The topic title of this particular thread is quite misleading! Withdrawing integration with a 3rd party application is not the same as withdrawing the Windows Live product itself!

If you read that right you will see Marcelo Bing comment on the post that opens such speculation. I'm not saying it is only because of MySpace, or do you not understand?

The windows live branding has always been a confusing mess, good riddance.

How is it confusing, it's just a name that pulls together a suit of apps.

Live should have been a part of Windows 7 IMO.

Thanks to the idiots in the EU, Microsoft had to separate this suite of apps from the OS. It's OK for the mighty Apple to do it but not Microsoft. (that's nothing against apple as I have many Apple products, it's just an observation)

MySpace is a legal website, just no one uses it anymore. :)

It is frightening to think that I was on that website some time ago, I feel icky thinking about it.

I'm finding it hard to believe Microsoft is allowed to ship Internet Explorer with Windows 7 but not a mail client and suddenly is allowed again with Windows 8...

Because "windows live" metro apps are enabled by default in Windows 8 CP, it doesn't mean that it will be the case for RTM, even if it's pretty likely.

But Windows Live products in Windows 8 are for most of them including others services like Twitter, facebook and so on, it's not 100% MS.

No I did not. Since not even the non-EU version of Windows 7 comes with a mail client I don't what tuckeratlarge's reply has to do with anything.

As far as I know a mail client was absent from Windows 7 since beta.

To head back on topic, after further clarification it does seem that rather than the whole suite of Windows Live being discontinued, the inclusion of MySpace support will be dropped with a future update.

This isn't exactly surprising, since the network as a whole is pretty much a ghost town now.
