Dropbox question on syncing

Question

Hi there,

I have a question regarding Dropbox and syncing of folders.

Currently the default setting is now c:\<users>\Dropbox

When copying these files - on a shared Dropbox folder - to another folder (like network-folder in a business environment), will these files automatically be updated when the Dropbox-folder is updated?

Or do I need to manually copy the files from the Dropbox folder to the network-path?

Of course they won't be automatically updated. When

you cope them from DropBox to your network share, you are doing just that - taking a copy, putting them elsewhere. DropBox has NO visibility to this.

Neednt be! Could you set up a symbolic link?

Meaning?

And how do I do that from my c:\ users to a network share \\<servername>\<share>?

Setting up a symbolic link is kinda like a mirror....so if you put anything in the dropbox folder thats sym linked to the network folder they'll appear there as well and vice versa, put something in the network folder it'll appear in dropbox.
