Layer Cake 1.0

Recommended Posts

Layer Cake is an amazing new application by MacRabbit that lets you turn your PSD files into exported elements just by naming your layers.

Bye bye, ?Save for Web/Devices?. To turn PSD elements into images for your website or app, simply flatten, select, copy, make a new document, paste, save; or hide others, measure, crop, save, undo name your layer groups once and let Layer Cake do its magic. Designers and Developers, rejoice!

Layer Cake is $19.99 for a limited time on the App Store (and worth every penny IMO).

Yum! Thanks for the dessert Elliott!

OS X still has the most amazing system and app icons of any platform. Even today most Windows developers just don't seem to give a ****. :p

Looks good, but it needs two things before I'd buy it:

- Hierarchy support (simply append .fldr or .dir to group name for it to create a folder before drilling down into that group)

- Compression (something they are working on)

Here here, I might have just bought a 2006 white macbook that's gone manky grey/yellow and I can only run Snow Leopard but I'm over the moon that I have so many apps open to me that are put together so well, that I don't care, it's great!

Starting Windows 8 people can enjoy flat black/white icons again, in case they missed the 80s.
