What puts you to sleep?

So, what puts you to sleep?

As for me, I don't sleep much, only get 5, at max, hours of sleep in 24 hours.

Too much anxiety and depression, it is, for me.

What about you?

I can normally fall asleep at the drop of a hat, just doesn't last long, napping for about an hour.

When I do go to bed, I can't sleep much past 7am most days, even if I've had a late night on the town.

I have to take Benedryl on a fairly regular basis right now, so that usually puts me to sleep. But with or without Benedryl, I turn on "How It's Made" on Netflix. Turn it low, and watch until my eyes drift shut.

Love the show, and everything about it is so mellow and rhythmic. I especially love any leather-working episodes.

*pushes glass up on nose*

And also being "twinkled", as I call it--when I can get my fella to lightly rub my arms, back, neck, etc. with his fingertips.

Just think about Windows 8, get depressed, fall asleep. :D No, just kidding. My brain gets enough exercise daily to fall asleep instantly.

I have a hard time sleeping without some form of noise that I can control. Normally it's some film, but occasionally it's music.

If I try sleeping in silence then my mind goes in to overdrive and I start over thinking things that I've done, or things that I have to do. You can expect me to be awake for a long time if that happens.

My doctor told me that above average intelligence people don't need much sleep...

Might have been because I was asking for sleeping tablets, but I took it as my reason I don't sleep much :D

I fall asleep less than 5 minutes after I touch my pillow. Work and exercise after work help me fall asleep that fast.

Hmm, I have trouble sleeping also. I think its usually due to too much coffee and sugar though. But I rarely get more than 6-7 hours sleep. I would like more.

I don't have anything in particular which puts me to sleep. I've tried plenty of different things and none of them work 100% of the time. Reading had done me well, right up until the point where I realized it was 3AM and I had been reading a good book. That idea went out of the window as being my method of getting to sleep pretty quickly. I've also tried a fair few other things as well, but I find the easiest way for me to get to sleep is to lie there until I'm actually tired enough to get to sleep. It works well enough, but some nights I'm still alert and wind up browsing YouTube on my phone until my body decides it has had enough. The worst I've ever had for that has been about 4AM on a school night, so I came in the next day with three and a half hours sleep.

I don't have much of a sleeping pattern: I don't notice a time I wake up at. I have had days where I'm up at 9AM and feeling refreshed, and others where I'm up at 1PM.

Heavy exercise in gym at evening, 8 hours straight work on projects and drawings makes me enough tired to sleep within 2 minutes of laying on bed.

Tossing around from one awkward position to another for an hour or two usually does the trick for me.
