Crash goes the Cherokee

Recommended Posts

Bungling bargain hunter Peter Frank wrote off his brand new 35,000 GBP Jeep after driving hundreds of miles to get it a knockdown price.

Frank, 37, had driven from the Czech Republic to Germany to avoid crippling import duties in his homeland.

But his dream shattered when the trailer he was hauling the top-of-the range Grand Cherokee on flipped, smashing his new motor onto its roof in the crash in Oldenburg.

"I could have had one just like it round the corner from where I live but wanted to save the taxes," groaned Frank.

"It would have cost me more, but at least it would have worked, this one is a write off," he added.

Strange what people will do to save a little money, drive 30 miles to save 3 cents on gas... drive to another country to buy a car!
