Do not buy HTC One X or One S right now

Recommended Posts

One of my friends got this phone One X on launch date here in India and he is facing display corruption/banding issue. Then we googled up and found similar issues on youtube.

New reports from The Verge are reporting cosmetic problems with its smaller cousin the One S as well

Not going to consider the One X I don't think. Non removable battery and no MicroSD Slot. If I wanted to be locked down like that I'd go for an iPhone

I've picked up the Xperia S and honestly can't say that the missing SD slot is an issue, with 32GB of storage there seems more than enough space for what I would want on there at any given time. The battery doesn't effect me too much but can understand it being an issue for those that may be away from a powersource for a length of time.

Never even considered. But thanks for the heads up. Somehow I don't see HTC putting Benjamins on people's credit for shamelessly releasing another public beta of a technological marvel of a trainwreck.

IMHO I think HTC rushed this up and did not test it completely.

Any 1st gen product would have an issue and I dont understand why people are complaining. If this happened from Apple(Antennagate on iPhone 4, Overheating on iPAD3), people would still buy it ;)

FYI only the black HTC One S has cosmetic issue and this was reported on XDA which got popular and was picked up by news sites very quick

On the other hand the HTC ONE X has its own problems :p

I wouldn't personally get ANY htc right now

i keep hearing about hardware defects on WAY too many of them

htc needs to get their act together or they're gonna end up running them selves down to the ground (not to mention all their devices look almost identical)

This would be annoying too.

First,wh did he need to make a video about it instead of just asking right out about it in a quick short post... This trend about making videos for anything that can be done in a quick two lines of text is annoying.

Second, he can send a "massage" ...

As for the SGSII which a lot of people around here have since they've been used or is used as work phones here. I don't get the praise for the screen. Sure the SAMOLED+ screen has excellent contrast and color, but every one of them as this annoying green tint. May e it goes away if you lookathescreen at the exact 90 Deere angle, but it's seriously disturbing.

I don't see a reason to get stuck between these two :s

That just my preference. I have messed with older HTC and did not find them to my liking and I do not like LGs at all. Though I do like the Razor. Really I just want the best screen i can get.

Well I was going to call Vodafone for one this week, I think I'll just wait until Samsung release a decent product.

I have had a One X for 5 days now, zero problems, fantastic build, amazing screen, super smooth. I'm very happy. It's a very powerful phone

No issues with my One X at all, it's been amazing

What's with the "Do not buy HTC one X" anyway? just because the odd person had an issue it doesn't mean we all do plus they're all under Warranty anyway

I've had my One X since launch day and so far the only problem I've had is it sliding out of my hand if I'm in a car when it brakes hard but that's only because I'm not holding it tightly enough :p
