LJ50
I was wondering if any of our resident experts are able to tell me whether it is possible to use my WHS 2011 HP Microserver, sitting on my home network, as a proxy/VPN service to assign an IP address to my work laptop or iPad and pass through internet trafficwhilst I am on the move. I travel frequently and would like to be able to access my everyday UK services (i.e. BBC local radio, Sky Go, etc) whilst abroad. It's silly things like being able to listen to the football phone-in shows weeknight evenings, that when I am sat in a hotel somewhere I cannot access. I think this should be possible, but have absolutely no idea how to go about it!! Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Freelancer1111
This may suit your needs, although it is an third party program. It works for me for my Lan, I'm not sure if it acts as proxy for internet connections, but you can try out. http://www.janaserver.de/start.php?lang=en
LJ50
Thank you very much for the reply. I'm not sure that will serve the purpose I am after, as it seems to assign IP's to devices operating within the LAN, rather than allow devices outside to join. I could be very wrong, if so then my apologies!
