I'd make the teacher clean up the mess - yet another control freak teacher flexing the muscle thinking that they're the ruler of the world.

Btw, what the hell is a 6 year old doing a test for?

I don't really think it's funny, personally. The teacher needs to be held accountable for forcing the girl to defecate herself. She's just a kid; as the teacher, it's your job to ensure your students are properly taken care of. Even if the teacher didn't understand the urgency prior to the girl's problem, having her sit in her soiled chair is simply unconscionable. If I were the girl's parent, I'd be furious.

Usually, kindergarten starts at age 5, second grade starts at 7.

Per the story, she was indeed in kindergarten, and the teacher was trying to prepare the kids for the strict way tests would be handled in later grades.

this is BS it should be common sense that if someone has to go to the bathroom real bad they should be let out of class to go also they should not be told to go on demand if they dont have to. and WTF the superintendent or who ever the hell it is is now trying to make teachers more sensitive to this stuff and better judge things Hello it should be a no brainer out of the box that if someone needs to go let them Go WTF is wrong here why should he have to say crap about anything when it is common sense

Well, if the teather's purpose was to prepare them for more strict tests in the future, have them set this as a standard: You leave the classroom, you fail. I mean I think in this kind of situation, you dont really care as your human instincts are more important than some test.

And having her just sit there in the mess is a health issue (for her and the other kids).

The funny thing is, it was probably only in the news because her own parents made it so.

I can't believe they didn't think of the exposure that this news item will create for their daughter. Of course, she is the victim here and although it was a very bad day for her, I don't think the parents made the right decision to go to the press. It would be a day I would like to forget and put behind me asap!
