What type of USB connector is this?

post-645-0-06813300-1334830993.jpg

It's for my JVC Everio GZ-HD620 camcorder.

JVC want to charge ?13.75 for a replacement cable but, of course, I am not paying that.

Can anyone help?

Jeeez this is the second person I have to GOOGLE search for.

Here it is: https://www.google.c...iw=1680&bih=956

I do not believe this is a proprietary connection, so I will be able to get it cheaper if I search directly for the USB cable type.

MINI-USB by the looks of it.

Here's an image;

"Mini-B" has square edges. The camcorder port does not :(

At first I thought it was a Mini B USB connection, but doesn't look like the same shape?

I truly hope JVC are not using a proprietary connection because ?13.75 for a cable is steep! :/

I just Google'd Mini B USB female and some images are coming up that look just like the female port on your camera.

Do you own a Playstation 3? I'm sure they use the Mini B USB cables to charge the controllers.

Looks like mini-a, but I think it's actually proprietary.
