Got this in my YouTube update today. Confirms my impression that this round is a BEAST

Nice round, whoever gets hit with one of those is going to be hating life, assuming they survive that long, :p

Looks like I need to get a box of those for my HK. I've been carrying hydra-shoks for years, but was looking for something that would be more effective/consistent if I ever needed to use it (which I hope I don't). Seems like the HST is hard to find though.

Funniest thing, all the gun shops refused to sell me PDX1 and kept say police issue only. Then I found em at Walmart.

Walmart sells a 135 grain .40 HST in silver box that is surplus from a DHS/ICE order (XM40HA) - $23 for 50. It was designed for the HK P2000sk (subcompact) they use for conceald, and is loaded for barrels of less than 4 inches. Less risk of overpenetration too. I carry it on my SIG P239 and P250 subcompact.

As to others, order them off the net -

That would be perfect for my Sigma .40.

My best friend has fired them out of his Sigma .40 and they worked fine.

Eh, I still prefer 9mm+P for carrying for self-defense. Then again the only .45 I currently own is a longslide and would be a bitch to conceal. Also DocM, what is the purpose of owning a Desert Eagle? From my experience only tacticool ******s own them.

The DE was a gift from my late father in law. If I'm in bear or pig country my choices are one of the .45's (SIG 1911 or P250 w/full soze frame) or more often the Magnum Research BFR .500 S&W Mag.
