Guess what, not everyone wants to stare at the battery meter on their phone - perhaps I want to go away to the countryside for a few days, perhaps I go on a trip in rough terrain and can't charge it. Then I'm essentially screwed if I use one of the "awesome smartphones" that everyone is gloating about.

Androids etc. are completely and utterly useless for a person like me that doesn't live their entire life next to a charger.

You won't really need a smartphone in the countryside or in the mountains would you? Keep a backup dumbphone for those moments and when you return to the city, use your smartphone.

Until Android actually gives us developers a NATIVE Api and not JAVA I won't bother with it. Android phones could be soooo much faster if they dropped using JAVA and and other interpreted languages...

And use what? and what does "gives us native APIs" mean? You have 100% native API support and Java does a pretty good job. I didn't have problems with performance coding with Android APIs/Java and this will be even more irrelevant as the performance of devices grows. What is your suggestion of a programming language to be used to build Android apps? C? C++?

Samsung can't really talk about standing out when it's their mission to copy Apple's design exactly.

that's what android is always gonna be slow, cause it's based off of java.

Yes, because WP7 and iOS don't use interpreted languages...

then why does a single core phone running an non android OS (WP7) run just as fast/smooth or faster/smoother then a dual score ICS phone?

and just saying. you are the king of talking out of your ass but whenever anyone calls you out on it all you do is hit the report button like a little 5 year old girl.

I laugh at everyone gloating their apps but when it comes to the really important question; can your phone last over a week without a charge, people give me the "24h stare".

Also, do I give a <4 letter word> whether I stand out with a cellphone or not? Jesus christ, humanity has sunk low. It's a phone, I use it to call people - everything else I wipe my ass with.
Yep both mine do (both blackberries heheheh) joking aside, I know EXACTLY what you mean :) im due for a renewal and tbvh nothing has grabbed me.

A Galaxy S3 sounds good but thinking of Samsung reminds me of their buggy Kies software.
Until it is rootable and has custom rom support then its worth considering :p
