So, I don't know if any thread like this existed before, but out of curiosity, what smartphone do you have, and what rom are you using?
Default AOSP rom? Customized? Cyanogen?

I own a HTC Desire and I'm using CM7. I tried MIUI, but since they are not updating my device anymore, I went back to CM after trying a bunch of diferent roms.
Also tried recently Sandvold ICS and BCM based on CM9, but I always went back to Gingerbread, even though I Sandvold is pretty good. Stable and fast.

Atrix

Running a GB 2.3.6 rom called Wet Dream. There are ICS roms, but nothing 100% stable. Probably won't see stable until moto releases ics officially (near the end of the year I've heard).

I have a Galaxy Nexus and using stock Android 4.0.4.

I don't see any reason to go for a custom ROM at the moment, everything seems okay to me.

Orange Monte Carlo / ZTE Skate

Keep switching between CM7.2 and CM9, once CM9 is stable and feature complete I will make the switch full time.

Sony Xperia S, running the stock Gingerbread right now (2.3.7), but ICS is coming soon. Love it, it's blazing fast and the battery life is pretty good too.

Nexus with stock 4.0.4 and rooted. Found no reason to use another rom since this is vanilla but customized
