"Burn in" subtitles to MKV file

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of a freeware Windows program that can "burn in" subtitles to an MKV file? I can't get handbrake to do this and all the other software I've come across so far is rubbish.

Adds subs/multi-subs. They're not hardcoded.

The term "burn-in" you use, means hardcoded subtitles. You can Google that way, you'll find more results.

Oh snap, forgot about Freemake. Highly recommend that one to add subs to video and it's free. WinAVI works amazingly good as well, but ain't free.

Cool, thanks guys. I'm going to give AVIdemux a go, apparently it can handle MKV files. I'll report back later with how I got on.
