... Ayrton Senna, arguably one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers ever, died in a horrific accident at the 1994 San Marino GP.

Many of you will be too young to remember Senna during his racing career. I held him in high regard. Yes, he was ruthless and resorted to moves which make Schumacher's manoeuvres look harmless in comparison. The older ones of us will remember the first lap of the 1990 Japan GP. Still - he was also blindingly quick, even in inferior machinery. As an example, watch the opening lap of the 1993 European GP held at Donington Park.

R.I.P., Ayrton. You are still missed.
